Shikigami Pocket
(Fake game's official website)
Creative Statement:
In this project, I want to make a Japanese style fake game website, therefore, I tried to find the reference and master the style of those Japanese games' official website.
Motivation:
When I was a high school student, I always surfed the Japanese games' website to get the latest information and I found that most of their websites are fancy. So, that is the major reason why I want to create this project
Approach:
I want to build a website like that. However, I don't know how to code ( I will try to master programming during the summer holiday) and I do not have enough time to master it. Therefore, I used Wix to do it. Moreover, I used Clip Studio Paint and Adobe Illustrator to draw the graphics.
Outcome:
The overview of this project, I think it is actually similar to the Japanese game's official website. It can troll some people possibly.

I used to think about whether I should create the promotion video and put it into this website. To make it like a real game. However, I cannot because of the health problem. I think it is important to manage the time of rest. If I do not take care of myself well, I cannot produce some great works.
Creative Practice
In this semester, I learnt how to draw in Adobe Illustrator fastly. Although it is not that hard to use, some graphics I want to draw are complicated and it is easy to draw it asymmetrical by using the pen tool. Therefore, I used the shape tool and modified them to make my work much easier. I used these skills in assignment 2 as well.
Not only did I learn something about technical skills, but also the extra knowledge. I can classify the differences between the echo chamber effect, the filter bubble and the information cocoons effect in the research of assignment 2.
Moreover, I acknowledged the sport called Australia football and the rules and the environment are definitely different from the one of America. I did not know that before I do the assignment 3.
In this project, I learnt some Japanese cultures deeply. I found it is different between the Shikigami and the Shinshi. Although the shikigami and the Shinshi are the sprites, their owners and characteristic are different. The shikigami is owned by the human who is an onmyoji and some of them are not the creatures, but the objects, such as paintings and umbrellas. Not like the shikigami, the shinshi is owned by the god and all of them are the animals, such as foxes, birds and dogs.
Collaboration
I realised that communication is really important, especially during the group project. It can help us to approach the achievements straightforward. For me, the most challenging part was to communicate with groupmates in English, maybe Mandarine since they are not my mother tongue. Sometimes, I will speak them in an odd tone because I do not speak those words frequently, but luckily, my groupmates did not mind that. So, I have much courage to speak, and I think it also the opportunities to practise my second languages.
However, there were some situations that my groupmates do not understand what I talked about. To address this embarrassing moment, I typed to my groupmates, I did that much time in Discord and it was work. Sometimes, I did not understand the words my groupmates mentioned, I checked the dictionary.
The difficult of online collaboration is I cannot hear some of my classmates clearly and sometimes their voices were overlapped by each other. Therefore, I think the poor connection is the biggest problem.
Essential Skills
The skills I learnt in this semester are an efficient way to master the skills of using the related software, keeping curious. I am grateful that my classmates always share some interesting things, some of them I am really interested in and they will motivate me to learn how to do that, how to approach the things as they shared.
Moreover, it is important to have good communication skills and cooperation skills since can seek help from others easily and finish the works fastly. I recall that I used to seek Marvin help to build a 3D model in assignment 4 and his work obviously can reduce my workload because I did much research about how to make animating the Australian football much natural, but I did not have any idea and the That was the only way I thought it is much easy to do.
The skills above I think are much useful in the future because I am sure that I will work with others. Therefore, the skills, especially social skills are really essential. Moreover, the technical skills can improve my work which can help me to find a job easier.
